Our 2014 LATISM Award Picks: Inspirational, Political and Social Good Bloggers

Only a few hours are left to vote in the 2014 LATISM awards for The Best in Cyberlandia. The nominees are all outstanding, but we have found what we believe are the best of the best.

The deadline to vote is today. Click here --VOTE

THE BEST LATIN@ INSPIRATIONAL BLOGGER

Eliana Tardío is probably one of few Latinas blogging about raising children with Down syndrome. Her "Creciendo con todas Las Habilidades" blog  touches many topics on special needs and there is fresh information on a daily basis. Many of the blogs are her personal point of view and experiences.

THE BEST LATIN@ POLITICAL BLOGGER

Elianne Ramos is our choice in this category. Her Google Hangouts are a must watch. She covers every topic Latinas want to explore: feminism, Affordable Care Act, and Latino youths to name a few. When you watch her videos you feel like you really are part of the conversation.

THE BEST SOCIAL GOOD BLOGGER

The Orphaned Earring is our choice in this category. This blog is definitely about social good and about helping those in need. Denisse Montalvan is one heck of a giving woman.  She makes bracelets from donated "orphaned earring." You know the one that is left after you lost the other one. Montalvan uses the money to provide clothes, shoes and even better conditions for the children at the Escuela de Internos Hosanna, an orphanage in Nicaragua.

Full disclosure: Wise Latinas Linked is the past winner of LATISM's 2011 and 2013 Social Network Leader award. We didn't enter the contest this year. Good luck to all the nominees!

Rebecca Aguilar is a award-winning veteran journalist and founder of Wise Latinas Linked on Facebook and LinkedIn.
