There is always something we can learn from women who have been through trials and tribulations in life and some how today stand strong.

Maya Angelou is one of those individuals.

She turns 85-years-old today. Her life is an inspiration to all of us.  She's an author, poet, actress, civil rights activist and sexual assault survivor.

Dr.Angelou stopped speaking for more than 5 years when she was a little girl. This happened after the man who molested her was found dead.  She was raised by her grandmother, had a son by the time she was a teen, and later even became a dancer.

She is known for her power in words.  Please watch this video and get inspired.
